RECIPE OF THE MONTH


Black Russian Bundt Cake

The Cake:
1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
4 Eggs
1/2 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Vodka
1 Pkg. (6.8 oz) Instant Chocolate
1/4 c. Kahlua or Other Coffee
Pudding
Flavored Liqueur
1 c. Oil
3/4 c. Water

Simply combine all ingredients. Mix at low speed 1 minute, then medium speed for 4 minutes. Be sure to mix for the full 4 minutes. Pour into greased and floured bundt cake pan. Bake 60 to 70 minutes at 350°. Pour glaze over cake while still in pan. Let cake cool for 10 minutes. Turn out on plate. You may want to save a little of the glaze to drizzle over the cake after it has been turned out.

The Glaze:
1/2 c. Powdered Sugar
1/4 c. Kahlua


MIX. Punch holes in cake. Pour on hot cake. Be ready for the cake to disappear. Everybody loves it. If you’re lucky enough to have any left, it’s a great one to freeze.

Recipe Note: This cake is a great one to take to a family gathering. It also makes a great one to freeze. The owner’s friend Ceylon came up with this recipe and it’s a keeper!
